Watch out for this trend

Over London Fashion Week there were a lot of inspiring collections. I specifically liked Matthew Williamson’s and Christopher Kane’s S/S 2010 collections. They both had cut away sections of the garments, which was very effective.

An insight into the work jiggerypokery achieves

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to work with jiggerypokery (Anna and Lauren two very talented individuals) along with other interns, to build a set for the Vauxhall ‘Skates’ party. The theme being 70’s disco, roller skates and lashings of colour. We got stuck into the fun straight away, painting, sewing, pealing self-adhesive vinyl, and taking trips around London for bits and pieces. The final staging was amazing! (take a look below) The event was held at a secrete location in East London, where the re-touched Vauxhall cars where to be displayed. One was painted by Kate Moross, in a rainbow of coloured triangles, and black lines. The graphic design was fantastic! (but check it out for yourself, below) In the evening Sophie Ellis Bextor was behind the DJ booth, which brought many people to the dance floor. To accompany the good music, there was plenty of free Bacardi Mojito, to help the invited to the dance floor. Then for the enthusiastic skaters, and the more reserved viewers, there were buckets of popcorn and hot dogs to top up on.

Take a look at this roller disco party ....
